maybe the games you have givenaway got bundled or their main price was lowered by the developers

CV is calculated constantly against the CURRENT market price on steam. So if a games price gets lowered it will lower your CV. Which is likely what happened here since it was over a longer period of time.
The other cause is bundling, sometimes you can giveaway before it gets marked as part of the bundle that you got it from.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse , which was free until a few hours ago , is still reported as $0 (due to caching, I guess).
Once its price goes back to normal, you'll get the normal bundled CV ($1.5) back, and properly become level 3... until the next issue, at least.

Ohhhh I think you're right. I gave away magrunner a while ago so this may be the issue. Not really an issue as I just need to give away more games but I wanted to sneak get to level 3 before then. Technically, I've been level 3... 3 times! Its so elusive.

Hey guys, just have a quick question on how CV works here. So for about 2 months, I was stuck on a 2.99 CV level. Pretty much one more giveaway and I'd be at level 3. Two months later I turn in a game just to give get me over my tiny finish line and get to level 3 to start anew. Today my CV not only lowered but lowered past my initial lock point to 2.95.
I'm used to it recalculating and lowering after a certain period, but I've never seen it take me below my last lock point especially after 2 months of no changes. So I just need a little clarity on why this would happen.
