I was watching Breaking Bad Season 5 and I find it to be awesome! There is one thing that I did find quite interesting, you really like Walter as a character at the beginning but now (SPOILER WARNING) I hate him! He killed Mike :( Why? I also tend to like Jesse now as well, he used to be the "get wasted everyday" kind of guy but now he's neutral and a little broken I guess (after the incident with Jane).

What are your impressions on Breaking Bad?

Breaking Bad has to be the best show I've ever watched, hands down. The fifth season is so hectic, it's on a whole other level compared to the rest of the series. And yes that is an interesting point. Vince Gilligan, the show creator has always said that the idea behind Breaking Bad was "taking Mr Chips and turning him into Scarface" which I think he did a good job with haha. Honestly, as much as Walt did some effed up stuff, I liked him most of the time, except in the second half of that final season I just went from liking him to hating him and then feeling sorry for him again, it's crazy how your emotions get played with like that. Enjoy the rest of the show though, it only gets better (or worse, depending on how you like to look at it) from here.

I enjoyed Breaking Bad, and I liked Walt every step of the way, didn't care for Jesse all that much, I did like Mike, shame what happened there :P

Just wish Walt was more 'badass'..

the title is breaking bad so yeah, that was pretty evident it was gonna happen, albeit i was thinking that jessie would kill walter.

Yea, I thought that at the end as well, but I guess Jesse is too emotionally attached to Walt to do it.

I rooted for Walt to the end, despite everyone (including the creator!) saying it's essentially "wrong". I guess I'm a bad person. ;) As for Jesse I loved him in the beginning, even had some R-rated dreams about him when I binge-watched, but the last two seasons I liked him less and less. I think he ended up being a whiny little b-tch.

I felt the same way about Jesse.

As soon as Walt decided to continue cooking meth instead of taking the 5 million dollars for the methylamine (stolen from the train), I started to hate him. He had the perfect opportunity to get out of the business with Mike and Jesse and repair the relationship with his family but he chose to continue out of pure greed. He put his "empire" in front of his family and I knew things would only get worse from that point on-wards (any sane person would).

+1

I was disappointed when Todd stopped Jack from blowing Jesse's brains out though. Ozymandias was the greatest episode of Breaking Bad, and what I believe to be the greatest episode of any TV show of all time.

I was thinking about Walts character and whether to label him good or bad. I never understood his obsession with money, even when he had enough of it to last for 3 lifetimes he still decided to continue running his empire, and I didn't like him for that. Only later when he decided to quit and remembered why he started all of this (for his family and children to have easy life) I started to like him again. I can also understand Hanks reasons for trying to arrest Walt but he is also one reason their family broke up. He put his career before his family and in the end it cost them all dearly.

TLDR: Walt's a good guy but he bite off more than he could chew.

I think that the only reason why he wanted to become more rich was to compete with "greymatter"

I'm not really sure he actually knew how much money he had. Or if cared about it.

In the end, he said he was doing it for himself, for all that thrill he had from being power-figure.

I'm just happy Walter didn't sail into a terrible CGI hurricane and became a lumberjack.

Oh hey there Dexter fans... sorry :(

Such a stupid ending :( I guess they wanted to show "psychopathic killers are punished", but it was so dumb.

If they would end it with episode 5 (if I recall number right), with that family-on-boat scene, it would be much better ending.

I loved how head-hair was making Walt good.

First episodes - he has hair and is nice chemistry teacher. He loses hair, he starts to become ruthless meth-dealer. And in last episodes he again has hair and becomes good guy again.

I lost interest after Jesse killed Gale. I don't know, I just felt it went really downhill afterwards.
