Terraria question: Can trees regrow from stumps.

Beleaf me I'd like to know the answer too. I've decided I wanted to branch out and try Terraria, but this question has stumped me as well. Guess I'll just remain a poor sap who doesn't know how to play the game, but I wood like to improve... and I'll root for you too! Sorry if I've made acorny joke or two.

Nope, remove the stumps and plant seeds.

The stumps are like real stumps, they take longer then the rest of the tree to cut but only a few seconds. If you want to farm trees plant some acorns. They don't grow as fast as they would in Minecraft or such games but it works. Just remember not to plant them anywhere you need immediate building space.

Also when planting remember to give them plenty of room! When you see forests with very dense trees they are world generated, planting requires space.
