I think I clocked about 100 in 1.6 back in the day (like before Steam existed) but never was that fussed for GoldSrc Engine games, or even Source Engine games.

More like this thread isn't for you. I'm assuming OP is looking for a comparison of his "time played : skill level" ratio with other people. Saying you haven't played it isn't very informative. But it answers the question, so whatever.

Can you confirm that CS:GO plays way more like 1.6 than it does like CS:S?

Yep the recoil I'd say it's a bit harder to master than in 1.6, I also for some reason never like CS:S.

No it's not like 1.6, CSS is closer to CSGO but still different. 1.6 moves completely different because it's on the Half Life engine while the others are on the Source/source2 engine the physics/hitboxes are completely different. In my opinion from best to worst the games go 1.6 > CSGO > CSS > CSCZ.
Started playing CS before steam was implemented played CAL-M, on csgo I have 297 hrs and rank Legendary Eagle but I rarely play comp maybe only 15-20 comp games I have played.

168 Hours, Gold Nova Master. Doubt I'll rank up any more, I feel like I should be around the Silvers. I've played a lot of 1.6 back then, but with friends and never too serious.

rank doesn't matter in gs go nowdays...the people that were gold novas when i start now are master guardians...and don't match my playstyle..im eagle..but i stopped playing while ago when they fucked up things with 64 tick rate. Is a lie. THE RANK IS A LIE!.874 hs.(a lot in idling svs). And a play only 1 or 2 ranked per week only to get the drops..sometimes i dont play :p.

324 hours, Gold Nova 3. But I stopped playing it a while ago. Source (Over 1000 hours) & 1.6 (over 100.. played much without Steam) were better. :)

This is a very important topic for me since I doubt my skills.
I have approx. 280 hours on my account and am DMG. To be fair, I've played CS:S before. And sucked in 1.6 (If that matters).
