I started playing VN not too long ago and enjoy some of them. Are the Telltale games considered VNs or a mix of different genres?

I see it's been closed but had to add, Helena is pretty much the best name ever and I rarely meet anyone (IRL or online) who has that name. It's the name of two of my favorite people - my daughter and my grandmother. You're in good company. ;)
