Steam app laggy?

Anyone else noticing long lag/load times when navigating in the Steam desktop app, especially when switching between sections (eg from Store to Library) since the latest update?

That (Steam automatically closing) happens to me, but only when I am doing other things also and use all the free RAM.

+1 It was good a few months ago recent updates ruined it :D Sometimes It hang when I try to move my mouse over the menu's.
