My external HDD is dangerously full, so I need to uninstall some games, but I cannot decide which ones:

  • The ones I 100% completed so I'll probably never touch them again (e.g. Deponia)
  • The ones my poor PC can't run at a decent speed until I update my shitty computer (e.g. Max Payne 3)
  • The free ones I recieved from bundles or wherever but aren't really my type so I won't play them, at least in a near future (e.g. Ironclads)

Thank you everyone for your responses! I took/made a decision: When my HDD will be almost full, I'll check the size of my games, and if the biggest one fulfills one of the 3 options I'll delete them (when games of the same size I'll start with those that fulfill option 2 or 3).
But I'll start deleting games when the Summer Sales start, because maybe they'll announce new Steamcard games or some kind of event and I'll maybe need the big ones to drop cards or something.

If you 100%'d a game and have no plans to return, remove those. That's what I do anyways.

That's what I'm currently doing :P I only have games I haven't beaten installed and I uninstall them as I beat them. That way it really helps clear up the backlog.

You could also make categories in your steam library, like... Have a category for your "BEATEN" games, one category for your ABANDONED games (yeah some games aren't god damn worth completing... Wallace And Gromit Grand Adventures... Shittiest game I've played in a very long time). That's what I do atleast, because I have a very small HDD.

I already have my 200 games sorted in my library, including a Beaten category

Remove 1 and 2. Remove 3 if you can't find any of the graphic fixes which lower the graphics more than the game in supposed to.

Remove 1, find some graphics fixes for those you can of two and uninstall those you can't, and keep the free 2d 8bit indies that take up 200 mbs

Why would anyone keep games he can't play on HDD?

Because I'll update my PC. Someday. Eventually. Maybe.

Remove 2. Those are probably the ones that take up more space anyways.

My HDD is 500GB and I've got almost all my 200 games installed... but that's only because I prefer indies over AAA titles, and indies tend to be smaller.

What's the point in keeping the games you don't play installed? Delete all 3. You can download them anytime you want to play them, unless you have ADHD or something and can't wait for a game to download.

I keep all of my games installed just in case they're needed for an achievement/badge/event thing. I almost missed out on one of the achievements from the winter sale a couple of years ago because I had problems downloading one of the Total War games to get the achievement for it. I ended up logging in on a friend's machine because they already had the game installed.

Granted, the chances of that happening again are pretty slim, but I can't shake the habit now :)

You're right! Maybe I'll need those big games to get cards on the summer sales.

Seeing how Summer Sale COULD have something related to badges I'd suggest leaving those bigger ones for now, especially since you said you have problems with net.

My connection is fine, the problem is that my graphic card isn't good. But hey you're right, maybe I'll need those big ones to get cards on the summer sales.
