15 000 seems a little high? Do they often have games for that much?
I only started using it about 2-3 months ago. Too bad I'm missing about 6 000 coins, maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be there for awhile...

Yes, they occasionally have better titles for coins, and sadly they raised the coin prices during the last months due to all the key farmers. But it's definitely worth to save them for the better games. ;)
Edit: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it will sell out before you get the missing coins. :(

Those keys farmers, it's really too bad. So many GAs run out of keys, that Hive: Alternum Wars giveaways a couples days ago I got to it too late and then kept seeing people giving aways 10 copies of it on SG... I don't even have words for it, the worst part is they won't even get CV for it!

That's not accurate, though. Chrono games are added to bundle list rather than free list, hence the increasing amount of SG-visible exploitation related to the matter. [Many Chrono store offerings are however already on the free list from previous promotions.]

I don't mind the coin raise, but they should really reward purchases of their daily deals. I mean, I buy regularly from them when they have good deals but I feel I should receive more coins when I do a purchase on their site. I guess that would encourage more sales or at least the more loyal customers (not farmers) would have an easier access to the games they put on the coin shop.
At least that's the logic I would expect from a store.

Late but as Frostt said, past coin costs are in the table.
Usually its the more expensive games which are worth that much, but coin prices have been set higher to deter botters from farming them and games. Hope you get a nice game in the future though!

Thanks :) Well I did get a game which had been on my wishlist, Yesterday Origins not long ago which is the reason why I don't have enough coins now. I can exactely complain since it's free anyways, it just seems to me like 15 000 is very high, but it'll give me more coins for the next one!

I've been saving for months though, and can't quite make that amount (Isn't it only something like 5000 coins earned per month?). By this point, the structure seems to favor exploiters more rather than less, since they'd actually have the ability to save up on multiple acounts at once.

SEGA's Make War Not Love, as well as various free-upgrade promotions such as with Van Helsing Final Cut, seem to prove that Steam still allows for direct account activations of games. Those have to be developer-configured, though, so that's an unlikely solution. On the other hand, SG [as well as OrlyGift] simply verifies activations against a user's library, which is rather easier to implement.
Either approach should severely handicap exploitation efforts, especially if [for the latter of the two methods] high-value games are further restricted [eg, to 'you must have at least X previous Chrono.gg activations on account to purchase this'], so as to limit users simply creating lots of one-off accounts. We'd no longer be able to gift the games but, then, that's probably for the best anyway. Coin costs should reasonably be able to be lowered back to the 8000 and lower range, after that change.
So a solution exists, and it seems like it'd benefit all involved [I mean, other than the exploiters, of course], but there's no telling if Chrono'll decide to implement it or not.

There is option to buy coins. You get coins with every ourchased game and amoutn of coins received is related to price of discounted game.

Idk how they set up the prices for those games. Some requires the higher coins while others don't. For example, Hover has the same price $19.99 as Attack of the Earthlings on Steam. However, Hover was 8k coins while AotE costs 15k. Maybe the price depends on steam reviews/scores, but it's kinda weird :v

Ever since seeing Dead Cells for 40k I've just been saving until something I really want turns up. I've 35k points, Attack of the Earthlings is wishlisted, so I'm definitely 'buying'. Lets just hope another 40k game doesn't turn up for a while!
