I think they can see how much total coins all users have (including bots/farms/whatever) and if there are too much coins they can make higher prices...

How would cheating even work?
The coin supply is capped, so abusers can be easily detected: an account that is 10 months old, for instance, cannot have a coin balance + total spending exceeding 75,000 coins (give or take, CGG records the entire transaction history, so they know the exact total).

People that run multiple accounts (sometimes lots of multiple accounts), perhaps with automation.

ToS say one copy only for yourself (which giving away individual games on SG for CV is), and that's abuse, not cheating.
I still don't see how multiple accounts would lead to CGG increasing prices, though key pools being exhausted more quickly than otherwise seems realistic.
There are other reasonable explanations for prices going up, too:
- When the program had just launched, users couldn't have had more than some coins, so it was mandatory for prices to be affordable.
- Now that the program has run long enough the average coin balance must have gone up as a result of regular users collecting coins and not spending them.
- The impact of both Point 1 and 2 is heightened because CGG has changed the way chest collection works, effectively making it much easier for regular users to get them.
- Given a higher average balance, there's the necessity to balance supply (limited key pool) and demand, so that the keys don't evaporate like a water drop in the desert (more attractive games already run out rather quickly).
Point 3 also partly undermines the relevance of the 'automation' argument.

I'm all in for Shift Quantum, even though it looks a bit stale and colorless, but the gameplay might be good and I love puzzle-platformer and platformer in general.
Luckily I got TRRT from an IG bundle cuz I only have coins for one of these new games.
