It could be a funny and satirical swipe at everyday's office life, but I don't like the artstyle.

I feel the same way. I'm not big on point & clicks so it generally takes a particular art style and unique mechanics for me to become engaged.

I'm having a hard time deciding between The Descendant and Office Quest, both look like nice adventure games. Although the art-style of the Office Quest looks much nicer.

The Descendant has already been bundled several times, so you have a big chance of trading for a copy / picking it up at a later date (I assume it will be bundled again soon enough).

Otherwise people would just get every game each time.. 3500 and those small prices just aren't enough to discourage someone from just getting keys. I'm guessing they want those who get those games to actually want to play them.

Well it kind of works. Since Heroes of Hammerwatch five months ago, they had nothing that I considered worth the coins.

As with any currency, it all comes down to the value you've placed on it. I've avoided buying 49 cent games that are on my wishlist as well.
For most users, the coins have little value. You get them for free, you get the constantly and they have value only on that specific site's "Coin Shop" with a small amount of games added with limited stocks. All in all, I also tend to save up and only buy when there's a game that's on my wishlist. I just won't buy if the game is something that I'm not likely to have fun with.
