In 3 you don't play as same character. And it is indeed a tactic to promote the purchase of the Dead Space 2, but even then we have no right to complain, you are not forced neither to buy the bundle or Dead Space 2 itself. It's too much to expect everything to be exactly as you want and to your convenience. And again, it's ok to use that tactic as they didn't get anything from the bundle sales itself, so they should at least use some tactic so it won't be an absolute loss to them the whole bundle buisness.

that was a sweet deal and i jumped on that bundle the minute i saw it...
i don't have anything against EA and i'm not judging them...hell, i even think on buying spore on origin, cause it's a sweet deal (3 euros)...

In ALL Dead Space games you play as Isaac Clarke. IF you play it in coop you can also play with another character, but the story still revolves around the exact same character. I don't want to be mean, but I see two options: either the person who made that statement did not play the games, or he didn't understand one word of the freakin' story

It's the first ever Humble Bundle without extra games added mid-way. I guess people were expecting this bundle to be just like every single other bundle that Humble have put out in the past.

The bonuses always came exactly 7 days after the bundle launch, no minute sooner or latter. Seeing as it isn't out yet it's safe to assume there won't be any (Tho I could always be mistaken, but the odds are really against it).
Yeah, we have no right to complain, but it's understandable to be disappointing as they made use us expect those bonuses, so nothing wrong about it as majority of people don't complain but just somewhat disappointed.

'It's safe to assume there won't be any.' That's a pretty shocking leap of logic there. There are hundreds of other possibilities, the biggest being that Origin was having problems with its key redemption and download the past couple days thanks to heavy load. Seeing as how the primary goal of this bundle is to get people to use Origin, it seems much more logical to me that it's late because they want to fix those problems before adding another giant strain to both servers.

Because you still end up in the International storefront (see "en_IE" in your URL), which charges everyone in Euros. It's been a problem since Origin launched, and unfortunately EA has not yet bothered to fix this, presumably because they know the exchange rate is so favorable and not enough people complain for it to have an impact on them.

I almost give them a good job except for the problem with the usage still being sent up by Origin. I don't like that my localized data from other programs or my internet usage is uploaded for their benefit. If they could fix this then I'd be on board.

I'm a programmer so I know that isn't the case. I knew originally there was some acquisitions that it was pulling more data then it should which is the problems I had with it. After looking these acquisitions over again and seeing the process monitoring on it then I see that EA is only concerned with their products. I retract my statement and will install Origin tonight.

I read up different articles and sites that tracked Origin with the pcmonitor program. It does do some odd things like look through your ProgramData folder and look into your registry, but it does this to look for any EA games that it can attach to Origin. It will also look in your xfire data to see if you have any friends on xfire that are also on Origin to link up. I believe it also during the scan will keep track of your peripherals for advertising purposes (much like Google does) to advertise something that you may ACTUALLY be interested in. I had heard they were monitoring every key and internet usage for their own use, but this was not true. Also somebody had claimed that it found his tax documents while scanning, but it was found that he had copied his tax documents to an EA game folder and Origin seen it as a foreign file. When looking at the registry it will look at the keys, and it will verify that they are not pirated keys. I personally don't have a problem with this since all they are doing is preventing piracy and trying to make it easy for the user to add games/friends they may already have.

Sale kinda sucks over there. We got some of the best games in the Humble Bundle and GMG just had the same prices + 20% voucher. I almost bought Mass Effect 3 before I remembered you need that DLC with the better ending. The deluxe ME3 is $15. Seen it before on GMG for less than 9, so passing on that still. Nothing to see at the Origin sale at all I guess. =(

The deluxe edition just includes the From Ashes DLC which has a short mission which introduces the Javik character. He's integrated into the main story very well, and reacts at certain key moments (like Shale did in Dragon Age: Origins), but isn't crucial. He is a very strong story element though, if you want to shell out for the deluxe.
Mass Effect 3 for $15 or less is a killer deal.

If EA are at all competent at managing the good PR they've generated with this stunt of theirs, then they will give away something - even if it's a just a couple of ancient titles from their back catalog that no one plays anymore. Everyone would be satisfied with even just that (because, hey, free stuff).
But, it's EA. So they won't. Their inability to manage their PR is one of the reasons they got into this mess in the first place.

Due EA just wanted to promote Origin, I don't feel bad giving away some Origin keys. They want it that way!
