"Work it out with a pencil" normally means doing a mathematical problem on paper, like if you wanted to know how much you spent on gasoline during your vacation, and calculated it by googling the distances, and then gasoline prices, and your average MPG.
It can also mean that if a raisin were under your car's seat where you couldn't quite reach it, you could use a pencil to extend your reach just a bit.
Constipated means unable to poop, usually because of an unhealthy diet.

Something interesting? The McCall character from the third game in the series makes no sense because no one with the surname McCall survives the events of Call of Juarez, only Billy Candle, who of course, does not have the surname McCall. Meaning the character has that surname by coincidence and isn't actually a direct descendant of Thomas or Ray McCall (I used to really like this series on PS3/360).
