Why user add winners to the blacklist?

I won a giveaway a few days ago (i won space ranger ask if you ask...) and today i see that i was add to him blacklist. Why? :/

"You do not have permission to view this giveaway, since you've been blacklisted by the giveaway creator."

Some people do this in order to make sure others can have a better chance to win from them. Winning more than once from the same person is not unheard of. I think my most frequent customer has won five times from me by now? And in fully public non-group giveaways.

Yes, its exactly that i was thinking. For others can have a better chance to win. Dont disturb me but it was rare :/

true, but i wouldn't go that far and call someone leech who just registered a month ago. i think we should give newbies some time before blacklisting them (potentially forever). i guess many members don't do giveaways in their first few months, and i think that's pretty ok. :)

Most people on steamgifts tend to blacklist users who don't say thank you after winning their game
Some other people blacklist if they find someone who won a lot of games but didn't do a single giveaway

I am not the creator, just told some of the most important factor that can happen to finish in a blacklist.

As others said, it's up to everyone how they want to use the blacklist function. If someone considers that rude, they will probably blacklist for it.

And regarding absurd blacklisting: I was recently blacklisted for warning a guy that he got impersonated. So... jeah...

You can't really know if he said thank you or not. :P Maybe the creator added him and he said thank you through steam chat.

It could literally be any reason under the sun.
Forget about it and move on.
Posting a thread asking why you're blacklisted will only get you on more blacklists.

just close thread for your own safety... there are enough of these threads already to search thru and see the reasons why its best to close thread as well as reasons you could be blacklisted..
