Do not mark it received until you use the key or you might be suspended for "not-activated key"
Unfortunately, nothing else to do but wait. You don't need to mark the giveaway as received/not received until you get the game. Let the creator know the situation.

Yeah, this is unlucky. This is one of the reasons why it's better to claim and gift Steam keys, instead of humble gift links (the other being that HB has the rare but alarmingly existing chance that they just ban if you use the gift link and the gift system to gift people, like a degenerate >:( )

Valid points for claiming the keys, there is however one drawback here - if by any chance, the fraudelent publisher disables the unused keys you will probably lose it forever - as HB will tell you you're not elgible for replacement if you have claimed your key so long ago and didn't use it.

just agree with deletion in advance and just wait for the gib maker decide what he wants.
i also recommend you to save the link, since you may not be able to see the link after staff delete the gib.

Hi, I recently won a copy of Poly Bridge in the form of a Humble Bundle gift.
It was added to my Humble Bundle account but I cannot redeem it because it says "Keys are temporarily exhausted for this product"
What's the best course of action? Just wait? (HB does say "As soon as we receive more keys, we will add them to this page and send you an email." but this hasn't happened.)
Or should I (or the giver?) submit a support request with HB?
I also haven't marked the gift as received and wondering what the etiquette for this is. It's not the giver's fault that HB ran out of keys, but on the other hand, I also haven't received a game.
