I am really interested in getting Surviving mars. It really looks like my kind of game.

Fanatical currently have 50% off on the First colony edition which includes all the DLC. Except for Stellaris Dome Set.
But I am on a budget so don't if I should get it now. Or wait for Black Friday the 23th hoping for a better deal in Steam.

Please Advice me.

EDIT: Some awesome people showed me I could play it for free for 3 days.
Sadly the game was not good enough.

Black Friday on Steam or Fanatical 50% off now.

Black Friday on Steam
Fanatical 50% off now

Personally I wouldn't recommend getting all DLCs straight away as it seems pretty overpriced to me. I would go with the base game first and if you like it, get the season pass later or stick with specific DLCs only. Anyway, if you still think that you need to have the full package, I wouldn't wait for Black Friday, because I very much doubt you'll get a better deal. Also, depending on your currency you might also want to have a look on gamesplanet ... they currently have the same edition for 51% off.

EDIT: Looks like it's also a weekend deal on Steam this weekend - 40% off ... so it's highly unlikely you'll get a better deal on Steam for Black Friday.

It is 30% off for the base game and 40% of for First colony edition whereas fanatical is 40% and 50% off respectively

With Paradox you will rarely see a better deal than 50% on DLC, just the base game's price often drops to 75%. So it seems unlikely that you'll get a better deal during the Black Friday sales. If you really want it now, go for it. If you fear losing some few bucks more than missing the deal, wait.

It's free to play for the weekend, on Steam, so, you can always play it a bit to see if you like it, before you make your decision.

Well, I learned that the game while okay. Sadly does not offer what I wanted out of it. I thank thee for showing me it was free this weekend.

It's an okay game. But not worth the asking price. Not even at 50% off.

Your review, IMO, is highly unfair to the game.
From your achievements it is clear that you didn't even build the basic buildings needed for the early game. .
With just 3 hours you didn't even had a fully functioning colony, much less dealing with the end game challenge.

IMO, and i have 200hs on most paradox games, surviving mars is incredibly hard. With 34 hours i rarely ever am able to surpass the end game event.
Calling surviving mars an "ok" game and not worth the asking price feels to me short sighted. I mean banished and motorsport manager have much less content that surviving mars , did you do a not recomended review on those too?

Sorry lad life is not fair.

By fully functioning I guess you mean, 12 fully build domes with trade routes going between all of them.
An extensive water/power network.
All resources the game has to offer.
The entire mapped scanned out. With deep scan done?

Banished only lasted as long as it did due to extensive modding.
Agree on motorsport manager, but that is an entirely different kind of management game.

With a surrounding winning of 92% saying I should wait for Black Friday I am going to do so.

Dont expect any better deal at black friday, The deals on steam at black friday isnt any better than any of the other sales, fanatical wont bring a better deal so you will hope that humble bundle will have something better but i wouldnt count on it. Just get it now if you want to play it soon.

I checked your Steam profile and saw you playing thought you bought it but its Free Weekend. Yes, that's great, try it yourself. I'll the game will be fun if you're someone whom like the genre. However, since you are on budget, there's a few things I want to warn you. 1stly its a paradox title, in recent years paradox has great titles but they are flooded with DLCs to the point I'm not sure if you'll enjoy their games fully.

I know I want to play games that are complete. I do not want to keep buying DLCs and miss out on contents. It just irks me, thus I have been avoiding the titles mostly unless they are in bundles. 2ndly, personally you want to put your currency into account. I am not sure where you are from but if your currency is lower than USD or ‎GBP you might want to reconsider purchasing on Fanatical but on Steam with you local price.

3rdly, from what I observe for the past 2yrs+ Winter/The year end sale seems to give the greatest discount for games, most of the games. The odd chance of getting the game cheaper is Paradox Anniversary sale, however the game does not go beyond 75% like most of Paradox's release. Only couple of odd balls I believe go beyond the 75% mark on steam or on authorize resellers.

If you currency I mentioned above is equal or greater than USD, I feel this is your best deal for now. If you're planning this as your year-end gift to yourself and going to play it once you purchase it. I doubt the year end Steam sale will have an increase of 10% to 50% of your local currency from the current deal of 40%. You can also check out GMG as they have good discounts for newer titles and single title purchases. For me Fanatical is a better deal due to my currency being lower USD and having the conversion rate put into account.

Thanks for the warning. I just finished a play through and I am happy it was free for the weekend. It is an okay game. Sadly it was not complex enough. And not worth the asking price even at 50% off.

Even though I played it for the first time it was simply too easy. Despite me choosing the hardest mode.
EDIT: here is my public review of the game https://steamcommunity.com/id/saphyron/recommended/464920/

Fanatical is enforcing euro on me as well as steam so it would not have made much of a difference. I have the Danish Krone and our valuta keeps a stead +- 0,004% with the euro year by year. https://i.imgur.com/vZ7mgFd.png It's moved between 7,44 to 7,47 over the last 5 years

Oh, then I advise not to get it. I've not seen or heard rave reviews about it but fans of the genre of city building gets a new variation. It has been hanging in Mixed Reviews since release on Steam. My currency fluctuates from 1.35 to 1.47 against USD which is the main currency I am dealing with on Reseller sites. Therefore things can get expensive for me,

If you enjoy city building and space settings then you may want to take note of 2 titles if you haven't Cliff Empire and Atomic Society Both have pretty Positive Reviews since launch though not in the thousands.
Sincere Regards, Cruse~ :)
