What do you prefer?
I'm gonna go with cats.
On average, they're cuter and less of a hassle to take care of.

How about the doggy? Dog lovers demand equality! lol

It looks like mine, an American Cocker Spaniel, but this one has a long tail and it seems more of a puppy but it has that same look on his eyes, man it's impossible to not love those eyes!

well its a mix of cocker with we dont know (tbh its like a fucking chimera, sometimes he seems that meow like a cat, his chest its like a galgo ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galgo_Espa%C3%B1ol ) , he also put out his tongue like a snake xD) , but for me the other half is https://www.google.es/search?q=border+collie+dog&biw=1680&bih=939&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAWoVChMIi6nd58OzxwIViG8UCh3jUQAu and even he seems like a puppy, when we took that pic, he had 11 years :p

Cool! My best friend got one of those too, hers is called Leonardo (guess why) but it has grown quite a bit with the years... like QUITE a bit

Yeah I think it now lives in a huge terrarium and I think it gets to swim in a fish tank too, I just remember been blown away by its size in January on my firend's bday. Next time I visit her I will make sure to see him again :]

I must confess I just learned of the existence of the Capybara just yesterday! They don't seem too domestic tho, and my first impression was of a mammal from Oceania but nope, South America!

They can be domesticated, but it's not as easy to domesticate a capybara as it is to domesticate a dog, where millenni of breeding have made them easier to domesticate. There are people who keep them as pets though, and they are quite intelligent, so they learn quickly how to treat their owner.

That face is begging for a kiss and a hug (and a belly rub of course)

Same! I have always been around dogs all my life, and when I met a house cat they were quite apathethic... they are awesome WHEN they want to be, but generally they are too individualistic to have fun with (in my personal experience at least, though my gf states the opposite but her cat died and I didn't met her).
A dog on the other hand... just grab a tennis ball or rub their belly to your heart's content! They can run with you and fool around, you can carry them in your arms (the little ones) or hug them and get licked to show their love for you. Man I love dogs.

Both! Though I can't have any kitties where I live now :( .

dog! I love walking my dog and cuddling with him :) plus, he's great at guarding the house (for a chihuahua, he barks a lot)

Yeah my mom sees our dog as a guardian, I see him for what he is... just an alarm! Although once he scared the crap out of us and it was just a cat walking really slow and loud on our roof.

They are overlords who demand obedience from their human servants ;]

So I've been quite busy in the last couple of months... tons of work at the office, some of my best friends returned to the country on holidays, I had 1 week of holidays myself... so to reassure you all forum dwellers that I'm not dead nor on an addiction withdrawal 123 (lol) let me present you with this POINTLESS thread!
I just wanted to know which furry domestic animal you prefer (excluding hamsters, racoons, wombats, koalas, lions, tigers, bears... etc because I say so), also have some examples:
So anyway, I'm going back into the dark abyss of working my ass off! Live long and prosper through all them amazing puzzles.
PS: sorry for not having a hidden GA, so here, have a gif
