There is no VR officially released in my region.
A friend of mine has a imported VR, and though he liked it, he doesn't use it enough due to lack if enough content that interests him/he can afford.
I recommend that first see if there's enough content that interests you before actually getting a VR. The tech itself if good enough to be used now. And also, just make sure you are not one of those who are not able to handle VR (some feel sick after a hour of so).

I have never used VR, I see not much point [whereas Augmented Reality (AR) could be fantastic (building lego sets without legos etc)] for my uses. Also, my machine cannot handle VR AFAIK, and I don't know any of my IRL friends who have it.

Never tried VR, my system won't handle it and never been anywhere demoing it. I think it still has the chicken/egg problem. It is still too new and expensive that there is not enough people using it and as a result the content is still lacking, at least as I see it. More people using it will result in more and better stuff being created, however it needs those people to entice developers to make it. Don't get me wrong, some of the content seems very well done but the amount of quality stuff seems limited and not all of it will be in line with each person likes.

I do not own a VR set, but i tried HL: Alyx on it: Absolutely fantastic!
I don't think it's an immature tech. It's just a much more engaging experience (both for better and worse) so i don't think it will ever replace completely non-VR gaming.

Cheers Thales! Looks like my gaming preferences are similar to yours but I do love No Man's Sky and would love to try that in VR. I think space sims are probably the best implementation as you are in a cockpit.

So I was inspired by Metalhead8489's awesome Discussion, and decided to to do the same thing and try my first SGtools GAs.

And just before I get to posting the GAs, I'd like to have your thoughts about VR. I still haven't used VR even once. For me it still feels like an unnecessary not-quite-mature tech, but maybe it's just because my gaming preferences are management simulations, strategy and deep RPGs.
