I was thinking about that time I had limited to filters to 1% and it cut out pretty much everything recent. The group giveaway I was just entering was also .32%. It makes me wonder what sort of person would filter games based on percent considering how slim the chances are in the first place (puzzles withstanding).

If you do use the filter by percent how did you choose your limit and has it been effective for you?

P.S. For those of you who are unaware there is a browser addon Steam Gifts Plus which is pretty awesome and among it's many many features you are able to filter out giveaways by your chances of winning

I don't always enter giveaways, but when I do, I prefer to win.

I don't use the filter, but I do leave giveaways with more than 1,000 entries quite often.

If you're aiming for 1% which is 100 entries, you will most likely never see a giveaway unless it's a group giveaway.

i used to have it around 0.5,worked good.Lowered it later to 0.4,for better variety.
Last week i removed filter at all,i switched from "enter giweaways only when u have good chance of wining" to "enter to giveaways for games you liked/like"

that's my new system. I'm strictly focused on a small collection of games. I enter for DLC (for games I already own), Terraria, The Ship, Syberia I and II, and Don't Starve. Those and whenever i see something rare or expensive that I do want. Use up my points.

I am somewhat puzzled at my inability to win The Ship. Heck I only won Fortix because of the great fortix giveaway.
