HAPPY CAKE DAY, CG! Now change my username please.

Yeah, I already went back on Steam and everywhere else, just waiting for cg to see my ticket here. Hopefully that happens before 1 year, otherwise I can change it myself.

You can't change your account name on Steam, so I was getting annoyed to log in using my old username. Plus revilheart is just cooler and that's what most people know me for anyway.

I was struck by the whole "better to have your real name as username" thing again. Only reason I was getting back to revilheart is because Steam forces me to use that name to log in, and I hate that so much, but I think I can live with it. Maybe Steam can allow us to log in using email or community name in the future (crosses fingers).

If you feel so strongly about it that's a good reason then :p Actually I wonder why steam doesn't make us login with our email since it's usually the most common way to do it;

Why not both? evilheartrafa18 :3 thought of rafaelevilheart18 first but that might have been read as Rafaele, which sounds femenine in this non binary world xD

I like the change where the person blacklisted can't join your giveaways either. In the past I had manually blacklisted people who had blacklisted me.

Great decision, and the delay from one day to one week seems pretty fair! Thanks cg and support!

I wonder how many blacklists the OP has gotten as a joke?

Cool, from my experience some people even used the blacklist for filtering out winners of their previous giveaways.... now maybe the list of people that have blacklisted me for no apparent reason goes down... maybe.

you guys need to add one more thing if someone blacklist me I want to black list him back even when he get me out of his blacklist i don't want to let him in to my giveaways anyway for ever .

Hi SG, we just rolled out an update to the way blacklists work, and I wanted to create a quick announcement to explain the difference. Previously, if you blacklisted a user, they would not be able to enter your giveaways, or see them on the homepage. Now, there is one addition: If you blacklist a user, you will also not be able to enter their giveaways, or see them on the homepage.
There are two reasons for the change...
This might leave you wondering, is there anything preventing you from unblacklisting a user, entering their giveaways, and then blacklisting them again? Yes. When unblacklisting a user, there is a delay between one second and one
dayweek until you once again see their giveaways on the homepage, and have access to entering them. If you try to directly open their giveaways sooner, you will see an error, such as "You do not have permission to view this giveaway for another 35 minutes, since you previously blacklisted the giveaway creator.". The length of the delay is proportional to the amount of time you had the user blacklisted (i.e. if you blacklisted a user for 5 hours, you'll need to wait 5 hours after unblacklisting the user), up to the maximum of onedayweek.Comment has been collapsed.
