sweet clicked on the activation link in the email and they sent me a code after waiting for approx 24hrs after i voted.

Got my Mafia 2! Waited 1 day, but it was worth it!

Just acquired my Mafia II key, somewhat under 20h after the votes.

Guys I need clarification from those who've successfully redeemed Civ V in Steam and then sync'ed their accounts here.

When you re-sync your accounts did you see the "Civ V Gold Edition Upgrade"? I find this rather odd because I checked my stuff and could not find a trace of any Civ V Gold Edition DLC anywhere - just the normal vanilla Civ V

For some reason it wont accept my GMG account though it says "If you have an existing GMG or Playfire account then please use those details to register for your free game.", then i created a new account and got my Mafia instantly.
