please accept my sincere condolences
unfortunately I can't feel all your pain - I myself grew up without a father
but now, looking at my sons, every day I understand how much I have lost.
try to keep all that warmth. what your father gave you, for your loved ones.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in July of last year, after he went into cardiac arrest. He suffered brain injury due to lack of oxygen, the odds of him ever waking up were slim to none. He would have needed to be on a feeding tube and such forever, so we had to make the decision to take him off life support. It was extremely difficult. Losing someone whether expected or unexpected is hard. Some days will be easier and some will be harder, it's okay to feel sad, even angry sometimes. It will still hurt, even a long while after, but eventually you will be able to think about him and remember memories and laugh and smile about them. You will make it through this <3 It can be hard when you feel like you have unresolved issues. Maybe, if it is something you think could help, try writing a letter to him, with everything you wish you had said. You can either just write it for yourself, or you can read it out loud to an empty room. It's okay to cry or even scream while you are writing or reading it. It may help you get some things off your chest.

Just saw this and wanted to share my thoughts and prayers with you and your family during this difficult time. It is never easy losing a loved one suddenly like that. I truly am sorry for your loss; however, I do think he already knows how you feel and I wouldn't be surprised at all if the feeling is mutual.

I can't even imagine your pain.
As neokarasu says it may not mean much coming from a stranger, but still, I'm sorry for your loss, Lugum.

I posted a lot of threads here about myself, my dad included and his health and particulary his cancer. He recently had one kidney removed but things were still looking bright, he started picking up on daily life stuff again the last 2 weeks.
Then this morning he woke up with a heavy breathing problem and he was rushed before to the hospital with "false alarm" and i thought it was another case also because of the heat, but unfortunately this time it wasn't, and when you know someone is past his age you can prepare yourself, but when it's rather unexpected it comes as a major major shock.
My dad and i had our differences, but he was a loving kind father, i always thought we would make up properly someday, but now when you don't get that chance anymore.
A reminder this thing can always happen in an instant, and it sounds just like words but appreciate eachother when you still can please.

It's region restricted. If anyone wants to say a kind word, thank you i appreciate it, i probably won't reply because i am still in a bit of a shock.
[Edit] Overwhelmed by the reactions thank you very much, really appreciated.
