You should, it is great. You can 'just' buy lots of different things, or maybe 'just' try out various games or 'just' watch demo rounds and persue stalls ... or do all of that. Seeing as you're from the Netherlands the distance should be feasible, plus there are always some exhibitors from the Netherlands.

Yes, SPIEL in Essen.
I bought some things from DSA (Das Schwarze Auge / The Dark Eye) a german Pen & Paper RPG. Plus I commissioned 2 artworks for 2 of my DSA characters. A few things for BattleTech also found there way into my bags. Then I talked some with Erdenstern as I always do. Those purchases probably count as merch.
On the board game side, I only bought one game this year: Victorian Masterminds from Asmodee.

Tomorrow my account here will celebrate it's 5th birthday. Due to spending too much money at SPIEL on Wednesday, I only have a couple of GAs for you.
