All done bump! It is a bit sad that I did not manage to complete Yoku`s Island (according to an in-game progress status - 97%), but overall it was an excellent month. Cleared a bunch of whitelist wins, which is good (I always try to prioritize them) and in general, most of the games were pretty good.
The worst games were probably Fantasy Blacksmith and/or The Tale of a Common Man.

Time for a bump!
Finished Q.U.B.E, again. Played Director's Cut first, so it wasn't that hard the second time. Director's Cut is still better, it has a story, a few more puzzles and better textures.
Still Life 2 still feels boring, not a good sequel so far.
Added Eternal Step, I'm on Floor 60, just before a boss fight. It would be nice if bosses had a health bar, they feel bullet spongey (or sword spongey). The game has 100 floors, a boss each 10 floors.
ELEX is next! Hopefully for the weekend, if nothing bad happens.

I'm really curious what the read-seen ratio is - the books are more like a long fable, or tale, and the movie changed that to a fantasy epic.
They removed songs, poems, lore elements to streamline it and make it fitting for a movie.
The movie is factually accurate (Though did cut out parts), but has a huge stylistic difference compared to the book. I would even risk that it's a better movie than how good book that book is. I'd bet that most of the fans are fans of the movies, and feel like the book is a step back from it. And that is okay, they are a fan of a fantastic trilogy :)
I read the books before the movies, loved the style, the feel of wonder while wandering and seeing the world in a milder form, having more, mysterious creatures in the story that didn't made it to movie (Like a completely neutral "nature spirit" type of a person, who was suggested to be more powerful than the Big Evil of the story.) I prefer the books a bit more to the movies, I loved and love books :P it just occurred to me how much I heard about the movies, and can't even recall the year when I heard people talking about the book, much less hearing about someone actively reading it.

Bump for beating Lego The Lord of the Rings. This is the first Lego game I beat other than the ones I played as a kid but I don't really remember those. I had a great time. I especially enjoyed the Lego humor it brought to the story.

Alrighty! Starting with a cutie that definitely has nothing to do with LOTR but hey, they say RPG so here I go.
Half Past Fate was alright. I was in the mood for something light and light it was. Wish there had been more decision making though. It's extremely linear and most of the gameplay that is not clicking through dialogs is basically fetch quests but it's not too bad for a short light distraction.
Now onto Super Trench Attack! I won just today. Looks like fun.
Edit: it was! Feels a little repetitive by the end but you get to blast Nazis and aliens. What's not to like?
I was very disappointed by Beyond the Underworld. It felt unfinished. I kept getting stuck in objects, falling through the ground into the void etc. All in all I thought it would just be a little relaxing game of exploration but really it's too linear and there's not much to explore.
Wizard of Legend is haaaaaard but it's very very fun. Probably even more fun in co-op but I could only convince my gf to play for 5 mn for achievements. I had to pull myself away because it felt I wouldn't have time to play anything else. Definitely going back to it though.
Ikenfell was also disappointing. It's kinda cute and then it gets repetitive. I almost broke the Q on my keyboard clicking through that damn never ending dialog. I ended up so bored, I had to force myself to play to finish the game like kids forced to eat their vegetables.
Warstone TD though! I am not usually into tower defense games. Admittedly the ones I played were mostly "F2P" games which based their whole gameplay around making the game so tedious that you just have to pay for it to get a damn move on already! Frustration as a game model. So yeah I went in a little unsure despite recommendations. And oooh boy was I glad to be wrong. It's just fun. No overthinking. Basic strategy, upgrading, skill tree. A dream of old school proportions with nice art.
Colt Canyon is even haaaaaarder than Wizard of Legend! Damn Roguelike is kicking my ass this month. If only my laptop couldn't run them all so well when everything else makes it go nuclear! It's fun though. I don't know if I could play it for years like I'll be playing Immortal Redneck but it's good for a few runs once you got good weaponry and you understand how cover work and how the enemy AI is doing things. Still pretty tough. I don't think I'll ever 100% it but I'll give it a try.
Paw Paw Paw was fun to play co-op but I think it would have been fairly pedestrian if I had played solo. It's an ok game but gets repetitive quickly. I don't think I would have finished the game if not for the event.

You don't have to complete all wins, but you should have at least given them a chance, e.g. played them for a bit (gotten some achivements), before going to your non wins. So as long as we see any unplayed wins that fit the current theme we won't most likely not approve non wins.

Book of Demons: The most relevant achievements showing progress with a second character are "Cutthroat Kitchen" for the first boss, "Averting the Sacrilege" for the second, and "Twice the Fun" for the final boss. I hadn't played since the last time I entered it in this event, so starting time and achievement count were taken from there.

idk what the end game is, or even how the game works, but there's achievements mentioning 2nd hero which you unlocked. From what I searched up quickly Archdemon is like the end? which has that 2nd hero defeated it, so you could probably see if it counts

That's a good point--there are achievements that track the progress of the second and third heroes. I didn't want to make it difficult for Samwise but it looks like it might not be that bad after all. (And if it is I really don't mind deleting the entry.) I've got my other win in anyway, so it's just for the leaderboards I guess. :)

I finished Psychonauts (with tag Overwhelming Positive game) and now I understand, why it's been such a cult classic.
I hesitated a lot before playing the game, since my impression about the graphic is that it hasn't aged well with time, but what can you ask for a game which was made more than 16 years ago.
The story telling through world/mind building is so great and feels really original. Accompanying by creative character writings, an awesome voice-acting cast and a lot of corny jokes made my experience with the game much more enjoyable.
And I'm glad to see some of the collectibles are also ways for the dev to tell more stories and not just another "Moon" or "Korok Seeds". Sadly not all of the collectibles are story-relevant, but they are all helping you reaching a milestone which you need to collect all of them to finish. TTvTT
In the end I keep wanting for more, and I think the game can really use a NG+ mode, but sadly there isn't any as such. So I guess I'll leave the rest of the achievements for another day.

1) As long as the game is not 95% finished when the event starts any win that fits a category of that month is okay, no matter in how many other events you take part with it.
2) As long as you have unplayed wins only those can be used to take part in the event, since it is about playing your wins. Shouldn't you have any unplayed wins left that fit the monthly theme you can take part with backlog games.
3) beaten = beaten the main story/campaign
Completed = gotten 100% achievements
If you are playing a game without achievements we'll need a screenshot of the end credits/ ending scene for confirmation

Oh thats good, I've done so many hogs at this point that it all blends in together. Hogs typically have the same puzzles even from different devs so when I enjoyed dreamscapes it was like huh thats great. Frankly this point I think as long as it doesn't bug out near the end or catfishes us to believe its a hog its a 10/10

If you don't have a lot of playing time, don't pick Lego LOTR. It is addictive! And can take a while if you aim at 100% with all the free roaming but it's awesome. Would just be too bad to rush it.

If you are a passenger in one of those cars, your back will hurt in the afternoon.
Those phenomena have existed since the beginning of the accident. It's been almost six months now, and the exercise therapy prohibits twisting and bending exercises on the back pain area. (Just in case).
I had been doing exercises to strengthen the surrounding muscle tissue.
It still hurts from time to time, but the duration of the pain is getting shorter.
The problem these days seems to be that the insurance companies stop paying. It seems that this type of pain is difficult to detect by MRI or x-ray, and they usually stop paying after six months.

From my quick look over you still have wins to play. I know at least your latest win battlestar counts, same with your earliest dreamscapes. If you want to play a lego game you got that marvel one, idk how the timer works for bundled wins so cant tell if you touched it or not. Homeworld might need more time but only sam can answer for the ones with actual time
As time is nearing the end dreamscapes might be a good choice. Depending on whether you play alot or not, its a type of game you can do in like 2 hours or so

no you can play games without achievements. You might be thinking of playing appreciated where to join you have to play a game with achievements, but here you can play whatever game fits and finally backlog once all (fitting) wins are played. For games without achievements take a quick screenshot of the ending credits, or near enough so Ninglor can approve it

What cece said is true. You have still some unplayed games that all fit the current theme and all of those have to be played at least in part to allow you to take part with a backlog game.

I'm back! With only one fully functional hand, but still :) I had dislocated shoulder 1.5 weeks ago, but now I'm recovering. Fingers and right wrist are fully functional, but I have to immobilize my shoulder, sooo not much gaming for me. But I can use a controller for a short time. Or just read VNs. No mouse in right hand though xD
Also had to miss last month's event, too much RL ><. I think it was the first month I missed since I join. Well, maybe the second at most.
What for this month's plans: already finished pretty short A NIGHTMARE'S TRIP (Adventure tag) and gonna play Strawberry Vinegar (Adventure tag as well)

Nothing to be proud about 😅 Just jumped (dived) in a river from a pier in a strange pose I guess. I meant to do a "pencil" dive, but with hands up. Something went wrong underwater and I'm not even sure what exactly because the pier wasn't high at all (floating thingy). Maybe the current was strong or my shoulder girdle is too weak or I started to try to get out too soon, or all of these xD
Overall I'm lucky because after ~3 minutes on a bank my shoulder popped back by itself. My doctor said it's rarely the case for those who experience it for the first time; and because of this my injury is not severe and I'm able to move my hand a little here and there.
I actually forgot the outside world is sometimes dangerous for us poor gamers xD

Question about the "not a SG win". It means you can use a game not won on SG, if you don't have any game won on SG that still hasn't been played or doesn't fit the theme?

Took a while for do you even play bro to look at your time. With a couple of hundred without time I can only assume you got some games that fit the theme one way or the other so unfortunately don't think you can get away it.
It seems like Verdict Guilty is a pretty short game so good luck with it. Oh its a fighting game, I'm not a big fan on those types despite owning some. Maybe the anime look helps me forget about the horrible torture of trying to complete them as I did like the 1st blazblue game

Nice good luck with them. I've already got a full list of visual novels ready for this month. Maybe i'll throw in a jrpg just to break up the fact I'll be reading for a full month

Who can participate
Anyone who does not have any unactivated wins, multiple wins or a VAC ban. You can participate even if you don't have any SteamGifts wins, see the "Have already completed all your wins?" below as it applies to this scenario too.
Extra Rules:
If it gives you one bundle of games with one steam ID then it depends. Do they each have achievements of their own (including an ending achievement)? Then go ahead and play them separately. Though make a note in the notes section, so we know what to look for. Non achievement games or games that play continuously (e.g. all entries play through without an ending between them) are not allowed atm since we do not have a good way to track them separately.
