Hi lovely SG people,
I noticed that apperently, as a new feature(?), the field where the game picture is located on giveaway pages changes colors. It was usually a standard color thats same for every game.
I looked around and I couldn't find an option to turn it off. Some of the colors are either to bright or just not fitting the whole color scheme. And on a train it gets pretty ugly fast.

So whats the deal with this and how can I turn it off?

You can use a style for SG like https://github.com/SquishedPotatoe/SG-Dark-Grey or ESGST with Custom Giveaway Background. For me both override the coloring.

Could you give a clearer example of what you're referencing? GA pages look the same to me as they have for the past five years (namely, in not having any kind of special coloration whatsoever on giveaway pages), so my initial assumption'd be that you're using a script that's affecting the pages for you.

Also, not sure how much it'd affect things, but categorizing this to the Help forum might possibly get it a bit more focused attention (?).

For me it looks like this:

Every game gets its own color (I guess depending on the preview picture).
I followed your advice and moved it to help :)

in your case it seems something is wrong, on my end there is only a slight color tint/gradient barely noticable, not a flat opaque background like you've shown above!

Try to open it in a different browser to check...

EDIT: I checked using browser console, it seems the background-image didn't load for you, so you only get the background-color part applied: https://i.imgur.com/Ad12sW8.png

I used this browser for all the years. After a restart this problem was still there but deleting temp files and emptying the cache solved it.
Thanks for the help, that this (weird persistent) bug was on my end :)

open a couple giveaway pages (i.e https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/xxxxx/), and notice how there is a slight tint in the large banner on top that contains the game name and picture (it appears the color is derived from the game pic).
