  1. Bastion - it's one of my all time favorite games. The story's great, the gameplay's fun, it looks gorgeous and the story's amazing

  2. Life is Strange - This game broke me emotionally, I think that's enough of a testament of how good it is

  3. Oxenfree - Really interesting and innovative dialogue driven game. Here's why I like it so much, if you're up for a read

  4. LIMBO - Really great atmospheric platformer

  5. FEZ - Probably the most "2D" platformer I've ever played gameplay-wise (I put 2D in quotes because part of the mechanic of the game is that the world is 3D but you play in 2D while changing perspectives, which leads to some really great puzzles)

  6. The Talos Principle - Portal with some existential philosophy spliced in

Actually, almost all of my favourite games are either bundled or missing from Steam and therefore neither bundled, nor unbundled. So I guess I'll just list some of my favourite games that are currently present on Steam:

  • Gabriel Knight 1-3 (and definitely not the remake)
  • Grim Fandango (this time remake will do)
  • The Cat Lady
  • Downfall (remake)
  • Sanitarium
  • The Longest Journey
  • The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
  • Oxenfree
  • Full Throttle (haven't thied the remake yet)
  • Primordia
  • Blackwell series
  • The Lost Crown
  • Culpa Innata
  • Darkness Within 1-2
  • Gray Matter
  • The Last Door (both parts)
  • Tex Murphy games
  • The Wolf Among Us

In terms of frequently bundled games:

King's Bounty: The Legend is a really good RPG with an insane amount of content. The sequels got repetitive, but were still fun, and improved on it in small incremental ways.

Saint's Row 3 & 4 are just amazing (certainly better than GTA 4, albeit maybe not 5.)

Death to Spies is a really well-made Hitman clone - the first one isn't quite as good as a Hitman game, but the second one is pretty close, and both are still worth playing.

I love when the point and click hidden object games get bundled (games like mind snare: alice's journey). they are typically $10 each, but for most bundles of these games I have seen you can get 9, maybe 10, for the same price as one.

I rarely buy bundles, but these are the ones I buy every time (that is, if i don't already have all of the games).

I really enjoyed the following games:
Gabriel Knight 1: Point and click adventure classig
The Blackwell series: A pretty mindbloing modern Point and Click adventure (especially Ep0iphany)
The Kings Quest series: Point and click adventure classic
Quest for Glory 1-4: Point and click adventure classig
The Book of Unwritten Tales: Modern Point and click adventure with a lot of heart and wits
Edna & Harvey: The Breakout: Modern Point and click adventure which actually started a whole company
Broken Sword 5 (1+2 are great as well): A decent modern approach of a Modern Point and click adventure classic
The Wolf among us: Nice Telltale game about fables - pretty dark
The Walking Dead 1 + 2: Telltale game :) - just amazing
A new Beginning: Modern Modern Point and click adventure (can be depressing)
The Night of the Rabbit: A pretty enchanted and mostly lighthearted modern Point and click adventure
Tales from the Borderlands: Telltale again - I lovethis kind of telling stories
Chains of Satinav: Modern Point and click adventure which can be very depressing again
Memoria: Successor to Chains of Satinav
Civilazation 5: Be warned - highly addictive :D
Long Live The Queen: Way too cute and can be played several times, since the story strongly changes with the decisions you make

I played Aarklash: Legacy & liked it a lot. It's a party based tactical / strategy RPG similar to Icewind Dale type of gameplay / combat.
