Maybe if they made a Freespace 3 kickstarter instead of a Descent one they would have a couple millions extra on the goal.

I always thought Descent was crap.

However, Descent: FreeSpace gave birth to one of the most amazing flight sims and stories ever.

I'd totally back a legit continuation of the FreeSpace series.

I have a vibe they made it mostly because of the last hour's "I don't really want it, but they are just 2 thousand bucks low" guys or maybe even their "own" funds to make the final push. Kudos to them they did not ask for a million or more, though.
