Gmod 13 beta? Interesting. When did this happen?

I thought the released version was GMod 11. What about 12?

And what's different about 13?

There is no point in this. Garry wants people who are actually BUG TESTING the thing. He is changing so much that ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING WILL BREAK. There should be no need at all for this. If you want in the beta, learn lua, make something everyone wants, and impress garry with it.

So does he expect us to buy the next version or will the Garry's Mod we have now get upgraded?

He just wants people with lua experience to join the beta, likely won't be a new game, just a major update.

This is just a update to the game. He has said he wont have us rebuy it. Most likely if he were to ever switch off from the source engine he would have to sell it again to everyone because of the deal he is in with valve.
