If you are on Chrome, first you gotta hit F12 THEN you gotta hit CTRL + SHIFT + M. Otherwise, it doesn't work. I just learned that now; the hard way, of course! xD

Just after I buy it on steam and finished the game :|, the same story with GTA V, after one month after I bought it from steam it was free on Epic. Unlucky me.

I used a mobile phone and it worked. For a weird reason even though it was going through on my computer's internet browser, the game didn't appear in uplay's library. Thanks a lot thohal :)

Idk how this works or why so many people mention a "cellphone method", but all I did was go to the linked page, log in with my usual Uplay account, go back to the shop page and "buy" it for free and it just worked. No Chinese VPN, no phone number, nothing special, really. Worked better than the average GA behind a horrible ReCaptcha.

It was same on Microsoft store. Games where free for Chinese market IIRC and you just had to stay logged on in their market site and you could add the free games
