HALF OFF TODAY! :D

Terraria

I've put in roughly 130 hours in this game. Single player.

I've had a better time with this game than I have almost any other game. I've played it more than any other, that's for sure. No, it's not like Minecraft. It's kind of like Secret of Mana + Castlevania + some building. It's midweek sale, get it. You owe yourself. 1.06 comes out today, here are the updates. Read it, drool, then buy it:

Terraria is only PvP if you want it to be. I've spend hundreds of hours just trying to find rare loot.

Thanks for the link, it looks like an interesting spin on Terraria with a stronger focus on player combat. As a result, it is a multiplayer-only game. I'd say that for pvp, it has more depth than Terraria, but for building (and adventuring), Terraria still prevails. So, there's room to enjoy both games for different reasons.

I'm with Cult on this one. One of the funniest and most entertaining games I have played so far. Not buying it would be a sin. Oh and thanks for 1.0.6 update note, I have to waste few more hours now.

Looks like a cool game, but I'll pass. The reason is fairly simple. I have Minecraft since alpha, and I have yet to enjoy it too much. These games give users too many options, and I'm not creative enough when options are presented to me.

I've had this game for a month or so now and haven't yet gotten around to playing it, I'm just not sure I can wrap my head around what the point of the game is. It's just seems very... pointless.
Exploring and creating things just for the sake of doing so... I think I need some sort of a story or justification for my actions. Or barring that a game that's an intellectual exercise.

So it's just sitting here in the pile of games I clearly need to play... but can't quite work up any enthusiasm towards ever starting.

Incidentally I'm surprised to see a half off sale already, it's clearly very popular and must be selling extremely well from all I've heard/seen, I wouldn't have expected there to be a need yet for noticeable discount to spark sales.

It's gone on sale a couple times now, was 75% off for a while during the summer sale but the price went up part way through the sale to 50%. The sale now is prob cuz they just released a patch and are trying to spark up some new interest.
