join the steam groups required . they're usually kept hidden so as that they are not spammed for invites . Alternatively you can ask the creator about the required groups .

Join the group, and then sync your steam account with steamgifts. (Account > Sync)

You need whatever group giveaway creator wants you to be in. You won't know which one group it is, until you ask him.
But with that CV of yours, I wouldn't bother.

First, you should join the group of members who deliver all their gifts ...

Groups are "private group", so they created by part of users to other specific part of users. Ask creator about his group. Most part of groups with unique giveaways have own rules. Example of rules: "make at least 1 giveaway due month for group members only".

There are only a couple hundred thousand groups on Steam, so you can eventually apply to all and maybe guess which group the giveaway belonged to. Although checking the groups of the giveaway creator definitely can help narrowing it down.

You joke, but I've seen the group counts of the more exploitative users..
I gotta wonder if they scripted that the same way they did their giveaway entries, or if they just frequently stalk users for open groups, in the manner you noted.

That said, I'm pretty sure you can only concurrently join a maximum of 1,000 Steam Groups, unless they changed that at some point.

Supposedly, there was a script that joined all the extortionist type "curator/giveaway" groups, compiled by someone from the usual suspect countries.
Supposedly.
To my knowledge though, it was just a bunch of chain messages on boards like VKontakte and reddit that listed the groups so people could two-click join them.

Of course, now, when group admins have to manually accept applications, it may be a bit tiresome to try and get thousands of people this way, especially since a large percentage of the target audience has the patience of a constipated chihuahua on crack.

constipated chihuahua on crack.

So is that just a normal chihuahua, then, or something that transcends human comprehension (not to mention the speed barrier and space-time continuum)?

Thanks for the insight. That sounds pretty in line with normal expectations. I guess the new group setup has something favorable going for it, then. Mostly it's been an annoyance for me, as far as managing my groups go.

Wait. So the effects crack has on a Chihuahua is pupil dilation and making them capable of sitting still enough to be properly photographed? That seems like a pretty massive upside for a rather minor quirk. And really, Chihuahuas are all about the quirks, so it'll just fit right in.
