Question about restricted games

Hi all.

I have a question about the games restricted in some Regions. i just want to know, if i won or i get in trade some of these restricted games in my country will i be able to activate it on my account?

The game what i want is Borderlands but all the 2K Games are restricted on my country so i cant buy it.

If it's a gift then no problem, you just add it to your gamelibrary and play it. If it key, u may need to active it with vpn.. if game are not for your region...

just remember that if you are caught using VPN to activate a key, you can be banned form your account. So be careful on what you trade.

Definitely be careful of/avoid using VPNs. They will ban accounts over that if you're caught.

Im not looking for keys. much less would use vpn.

I'm no expert on this, but I tried to gift a friend a game that I later found out was restricted in her region (the game was HAWX 2 and she's in Germany). She received it and activated it, and I could even see it in her library from my side... but she couldn't see it in her own library, nor could she access it and play it. I ended up having to write to Steam support to get it removed from her account and get my money back. :/ Dunno if that's how it is with all games and regions, however.
