Well, considering the base game is worth $2 and the hundred DLCs are worth $200, i think it would be safe to enter it...

Depends on the creator. My giveaway just finished and i let people who own the base game enter.

Its up to the maker of the giveaway. If it doesn't state it, then just ask. Some allow it some don't.

If it's a private giveaway, then the giveaway creator has the discretion of choosing if members can enter if they own the base game, or one of the games if it is a collection. If it is a public giveaway, then you are able to enter it even if you have the base game or one or more of the games in the collection. If it is a public group that is creating the giveaway, you are able to enter if you have the base game or one of the games in the collection. If it is an invite only group, then they also have the discretion as similar to the private giveaways.

The situation of other rules also applies in terms of the private group and private giveaways, although it most likely would have to be reasonable to be allowed after the fact of if they ask for a re-roll on absurd grounds. Some may just not give the game to you if it's a public giveaway, and just take the hit for the mark of not received.

No. It's always up to the creator to decide if certain members are allowed to enter.

Yes, it is. Public can be re-rolled for owning part of a collection.

Yes it is. As far as having any of the items being away it is.

Maybe it is wise to contact them on Steam and ask =)

Dear god please don't do this. If you really want to know just ask on the giveaway page. If they answer your question then it's all good. If they don't just move on from the giveaway. No need to ninja add people or leave comment on their profile.

It's considered in bad taste. There are probably people on this site that will request a re-roll of the winner if they see you already own the base game. You could always try messaging the person on steam or something.

You can, but you might be rerolled if you win.

Considering the rules on SG, you can enter if the part of the GA you own is less than 50% of it.

With that one it seems that as long as the giveaway creator doesn't say otherwise, go ahead and enter it. If nothing is said about it not being all right, just be prepared that they may reroll. If they do say to not enter if you have the base game or so many DLCs, then don't enter because it will be rerolled.

Heck, I enter those and have the base game and the DLCs I have aren't even in the collection version normally given away. Magicka just has way too much DLC.

Depends on the giveaway creator. Some may let you enter, others will request a re-roll if you win. So you gotta ask them everytime.

I always ask. And if s/he don't respond me sometimes I enter and write in the comments that if I win and is not ok s/he can reroll.

Public GA's can't have rules, and yes i think you should be able to enter it regardless if it's public.

Not in this case. Its even stated in the FAQ (iirc) that it depends solely on the giveaway creator if you can enter or not

Public giveaways cannot have SPECIAL rules, but "Don't enter for games you already own" is a site rule and applies to every giveaway.

One of the re-roll options is "Majority of bundle exists in their account". We leave it to the gifter's discretion whether or not they want to re-roll a public giveaway based on this rule.
