I've recently become a fan of turn-based strategy with hex-based battles such as Blackguards.

Got a new computer, as the old one's screen exploded. Technically not very recent, no.

PC gamers tend to avoid using controllers, under the premise that controllers are for console gamers, but using a controller on PC can be a terrific experience for the right games. I usually find controllers to be preferable for 3rd-person action games, sandbox games, racing games, and platforming games.

Could be anything, hardware parts, performing better in a certain games, to even liking certain games/genres you didn't like.
Anywho for me I've recently became a fan of the hunting-genre, the most notable hunting franchisethe Monster Hunter series and the Phantasy Star Online spin-off series is another popular one
And up until recently those were the only two hunting games out there and I'm not that much of a fan of either of those. Anywho I recently got a vita a few months ago and decided to try out a few demos two of which were Toukiden and Ragnarok Odyssey:Ace which are hunting games.
The reason why I didn't like Monster Hunter is the combat is really slow, and the mission length themselves were just way too long. The reason why I didn't like Phantasy Star Online and it's sequel was because the mission themselves felt very much the same, at least early game which was where I always lost my interest, not only that but the enemies always felt paper and combat feel itself felt thin/unsatisfactory.
But Toukiden and Ragnarok Odyssey: Ace don't have those issues. They're both fast paced, they both have good mission diversity even though the missions pretty much fall into the same 3 categories (Boss, hunt, collect) it's still different enough for my liking.
Really looking forward to God Eater 2:Rage Burst and Toukiden Kiwami for be released, and even though I'm not a fan of the franchise I'd love to play Monster Hunter Online if it ever gets localized in North America.
What about you guys?
