I sent him an email and a Steam friend request. He hasn't responded and it's been 4 days. How much more should I wait until I request a new winner?

Once you've waited a week you can request a new winner :)

Oh, OK. I didn't know that. I think I'll wait a bit more than that

Are you referring to this?

"Gifts should be sent to the winners within one week of the giveaway closing."

Winners should correctly mark their gift as received or not received within one week of the giveaway closing.

Any winner has 7 days before you can do anything :}

Has he actually been online?

Not on steam nor here. I'm actually worried about the guy. Who doesn't check their email for 4 days in a row? :P

You could turn that option off. And he could be on vacation or a business trip, or something bad has happened so his mind is on other things.

You can post under one of their giveaways to send them a message here

I can't. I guess it's for friends only. I'll just keep waiting.

I had a winner that never responded too. I filed a report 2 weeks ago, but nothing has changed yet.

You asked for a reroll 2 weeks ago and haven't got any reply?

How can I re-roll when a person has already been sent the key? Who knows what they've done with it. I just submitted a non-activation report.

User reports can take years to get adressed. File a new ticket under Request Received Feedback and add all proof you can find.
Does the winner have the game in his library because that would makes things quite simple but even if not I think it's not a real problem. Support will mark your gib received and most likely also punish the winner in the process.

I've done as you recommended. He did not activate the game on his main account at least.

Hope it gets sorted out soon ;)

It also matters if they have been online. If they have not, they have not seen the key either.
Prior to submitting a reroll request, you can simply "unsend" the key, via clicking on "Sent" again.

Thanks for the idea. Sadly they have been online. They are online right now even!

Perhaps they can't access their Steam account right now..

it recently happened to me too, a winner didn't login for almost a week, and did it when I was about to ask for a reroll.
Decided to wait since they probably had seen the key and, after about 3 more days (10 days total) I got my feedback :)

It is still a bit rude when winners build on the GA creators' mind-reading capabilities. They could simply comment in the GA if they need time or something.

Btw, it works in the other way too, GA creator can comment in winner's older GA-s (if there are any).

I know and I almost did it, just decided to wait a bit more before doing anything =P
Don't know, perhaps I was a bit afraid of them running away with the key (not that "me not doing anything" would have changed this if they wanted to) I know, kind of stupid :v
..so I'll just say that I believe in people (look at me, I'm a good person!) =P

hehee, mine too connected to Steam in those days (but I'm not sure it played anything)

I constantly read of users having problems with their winners.. guess it's only a matter of time if you create giveaways.
I say I've been lucky up to now 'cause I haven't had too many problems but it can also be because I didn't give as much as others..
