I used to have a cat, a majestic cat! His name was Comet. When he was a kitten, he refused to wash himself and would eat and roll in poop. I would have to bathe him and get many scratches in the process. Thankfully, he outgrew that and became an amazing cat. He would play fetch with a tennis ball and loved rolling in water. One day, he was outside and a neighbor's pitbull got loose. He chased Comet into some shrubbery across the street and we heard a bunch of rustling noises, I was terrified, knowing that my precious cat had just been killed by that monster, when suddenly we heard a yelp and the pitbull jumped straight into the air, about 4 feet! Comet chased him out of the shrubs and back to his wretched house. Comet always had a bad habit of laying in the road. When he was either 17 or 18, it finally caught up with him. I still have the ceramic food bowl I made for him one year when I was a kid, it has etched into it "Marry Christmas Comet." I miss Comet. I hope one day to get another cat, but I doubt it will be even half the cat Comet was.

In my old neighborhood one day when I was out walking, I saw a cat in a tree that seemed to be stuck, so I picked it up (down?). Every time it saw me after that, it would follow me around on walks.
