Definitely play Witcher, watch Witcher and read Witcher (although the books are called something else, I think they're using The Witcher now due to its popularity) :)

'Top Boy' is good. Closest comparison I can think of is 'The Wire', but it's a bit different. Also it's set in London. There are 3 seasons/series. If you watch on Netflix the first is called 'Top Boy Summer House'.

Yes, watch Babylon 5. The first season starts off kinda dry but it gets good pretty quick.

Then when you've watched the series and invariably think to yourself, "Wow, this would be an awesome setting for a game" you can direct your rage at Sierra for canceling a nearly finished game at the 11th hour.

+5.

You have to forgive the special effects, which are really really dated. And a few of the actors are really stiff, especially in the beginning. And some episodes in year 1 seem very pointless (even when they are not -- you must think of year 1 as a huge prologue).

But, by the middle of year 2, I could realize that show was something really special (and even appreciate some of the earlier episodes): the characters are superb, and the story is awesome -- possibly best TV I have ever watched.

Cheers!

Yeah that's one thing I really liked about B5, there was a lot that was connected to something else. If you had a good memory you'd be having "So THAT'S what that meant" moments all the way through to the end thinking back on obscure seeming parts of episodes all the way through the series.

Gotta give Sierra some credit-they pretty much cancelled themselves along for the ride.
But yeah,Into The Fire getting canned last minute is beyond sad.We aren't exactly swimming in a sea of good space/fleet career sims, after all.I suppose the only thing left is to hope that some fellas give it the "Freespace Engine" treatment (i.e. Wing Commander Saga:The Darkest Dawn).

Yeah.....I Found Her is great, and the Babylon Project (FS2 conversion) is good too, but they're combat flight sims. Great if you just want to fly fighters but if you want the full experience it's just not there.

About the closest we can get are the various B5 mods for Homeworld and HW 2. If only there was a B5 mod for Starshatter: TGS.

Give Yakuza 0 a try, it is like a game and tv show comedy and action-drama all in one:) Just finished it recently myself, two thumbs up.

If you like really absurd comedy, watch the early 90s British satire of local news, "The Day Today."

If you haven't read it already, I recommend Good Omens - the book if you have time to read it, or the tv adaptation for something a bit shorter. I'd tell you about it but I really think it's best to go in blind :)

Wake up before sunrise and take a walk around the city while the sun is coming up. Listen to the birds start singing while the humans are mostly still asleep in their beds.
