Waking Mars is a really cool game that you should have no problems running.
I was pleasantly surprised by how great I found it to be.
Hotline Miami would be a good choice as well.

My desktop broke down and I spent the last few weeks with a the exact same laptop (2.Ghz Core 2 Duo with abysmal integrated graphics). My advice is: most games before 2005/2006 and most indie games are ok. If you want to sink a lot of time, Mount and Blade Warband works fine, if you use directx 7 instead of 9. Also, Fable TLC is an nice RPG that ran on max settings. Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity (on sale) and Rebellion and Torchlight 1 and 2 also work.

If you are into roguelikes I can strongly recommend Tales of Maj'eyal, free and awesome game with loads of races and classes to choose from. And its hard too :)

+999999 on Commandos, but I only reccomend 2, it's leaps and bounds more accessible and fun than the first and the expansion.

Yeah, Tripwire did a great job optimizing Killing Floor for crap PC's, but it does take up alot of HDD space.
Hotline Miami, FTL, and Bastion are 3 great games that you could run and don't take up alot of memory.

I have the same problem when I'm stuck using my wife's laptop for some reason, so I made a category on my library just for that. The specs for her laptop are probably similar so:

Out of experience, I can tell you PES 2013 and Unmechanical run on similar specs. I would also suggest FTL - I reluctantly bought it on sale and now I'm hooked!

binding of isaac
Any game released before 2001. GOG.com has a large selection of those.

Max Payne 1 + 2 are not very resource hungry.
And if you don't have 3D support, you can always play Mad Father (free) or Cthulhu save the world

Torchlight. It even has a netbook mode. Torchlight 2 should also be pretty decent.

I can't not recommend Dwarf Fortress. It's relatively small, runs on most anything, and probably what I would bring if I was in that sort of situation.
It's not for everyone, but there's no harm in giving it a look.

I currently do not have my main PC in the country i live (Mexico - it currently resides in a big box at my parents house in England)
I am going to a state called Oaxaca next weekend for holy week with my in-laws and I'm going to be bored shitless.
this is where games come in.
I'm looking for games (probably indie) that will work on a 2.Ghz Core 2 Duo with abysmal integrated graphics.
Currently installed I have;
Lone Survivor
The Dig
Don't Starve
Home
and Postal 2 (which runs really fucking poorly)
I also have Smooth Operators installed in Desura.
But beware, space is an issue. I have a 60GB SSD with only 12gb left!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I can play? If I have to buy them, so be it.
EDIT: Holy shit guys, thanks for all the suggestions. I have read all the replies and am looking at each title.
Ta muchly!
