in not so far future, when quantum transistors will substitute the silicone ones, even an CASIO wristwatch will have more computing power than PS3 :D

Didn't he said "most PC aren't as strong as PS3" (I know that quote, nothing about "no one has a PC as powerful as a PS3") - which in that case is easily defensible: most PC also include PCs that are in offices, schools, other places. But, if he actually said that no PC is as good as PS3, then he achieved another level of stupidity.
As for dying PC gaming... Well, PC gaming is strong in indies and F2P. Publishers tried hard to kill AAA PC gaming (and was quite successful, so many good games didn't appeared on PC, so many good games had totally rubbish PC release...), but after few years PC gaming came back, and now people are betting whether new-gen will kick PC back into being "3rd gaming world" or will new-gen actually suck, because better consoles means more work to make game, which means more costs, which means bigger game prices, which means less sales - which in turn will cause smaller games that even less people will buy...

About ME3: that's recent, he's opinion, could not care less...
About PC vs PS3, that statement is really old, and even then there were PCs more powerful than PS3...
overall Pachter is not such a bad guy, stop complaining (or there won't be any good games released :D

I love the Ps3, it's my favorite console system. But I really disagree with this guy... PC is probably the most powerful in terms of gaming and upgradability.
The thing about Consoles are that they're strong, but they can't really be upgraded. By the time the new console comes (usually 6 or 7 years) that whole time there are new software, devices, etc. for PC.

He's unknown to me since I don't follow the video game industry news/blogs/opinions, not to mention the general culture and attitude of most people in it. it's full of idiots.

I've never heard of him before, but Michael Pachter needs to stick to talking about games, since he is laughably out of his depth on hardware issues.
Perhaps he's one of those people who likes to get himself noticed by deliberately talking testicles, or vehemently holding forth on subjects he knows nothing about.
Besides, everybody knows no-one out there has a console as powerful as my Sega Gamegear ¬_¬

Michael Pachter a famous video games Analyst has said that "no one out there has a PC as powerful as a PS3". He also went on to say that "PC gaming is – more or less – dying, as the money was and is on consoles". You can read the full article here.
Obviously he's not doing his job correctly. He also said something along the lines of: no good games will be made any more because fans complained about the ending of Mass Effect 3.
Edit:- I disagree with him completely.
