I used to give discount coupons away to people but now with this hold of 15 days it's unfeasible. (they usually expire in less than 15 days)
Well, bad for them. Coupons fading away and less people buying with them.

Actually you can activate the Steam Guard (and bye bye the trade hold), even if you don't have a smartphone.
There are Androïd emulators for PC, they work well. they are legit. I use Andyroid, there are others.

I appreciate your willing to help but I don't like mobile authentication. I won't join this, even with emulators.
I have email authentication on GOG and I think it's fine.

Yeah, it's a bit overkill if you ask me. Sure it might give some security, but why not just at least give an option to use email for it...

I'm just wondering. Why they made that restriction even on market?
If someone would hack your account they woud rather take things from your inventory for themselves not randomly selling it on victim account.
Or maybe I'm too stupid to understand that.

Not to mention. Why 15 days? Not 7 or 10 but 15?

I have android smarphone but it's pain in the (black hole) to connecting wi-fi and opening steam app every time >.> That's why for me this is stupid idea and I'm not using it too. Email is enought protection for me.

Don't know exactly. Maybe it's 15 days to give people enough time to discover their account has been hacked? But if you're dealing with a good hacker, you may never find out and he will still be able to do whatever he wants, he just needs to be more patient...
