Which is the better series - Blitzkrieg or Sudden Strike? (+ are there any other similar games)

Just what it says on the title!

I like Blitzkrieg but have never played Sudden Strike; It looks quite similar.

Further, I know that there are a few standalone games based on the Blitzkrieg engine.

Are there any good similar games/series to these two?
