Are keys being sent automatically or do I have to send them to emails?

Automatik.

I think you have to review the giveaway before sending the key. Once you've confirmed, the key is sent.

Oh that is very nice then. Sending Emails was becoming a hassle.

After your GA ends you will get a popup window what takes you to your Created gifts page. There you select the GA what ended and click on the Winners (at the left column). There you need to click on the Send Key button, so the key you entered when creating the GA will be visible to them after you did this. Before you click on it, you should always check the user though. (That's why this is not automatic. There can be users with fake/empty accounts who registered to the site before V2, during some big-games-free-weekend, or you can see if the winner is regifting all of their wins, etc - in these cases you need to report them and requesting a new winner.)
