Are you an Otaku?

yeah i had many consecutive nights without sleep in my life, for various reasons, usually I go to bed at 3,33 a.m. and I think it's lucky, I like odd numbers, so i'm more crazy than otaku i think plus i'm european so why should i talk japanese

I'm not an Otaku. I'm just Mud.
Back when I was at University I used to stay up late at night studying. 50hrs straight with no sleep is my record. I didn't see any wall bleeding but I felt pretty shite.

Otaku is one of those terms where the definition is misunderstood and skewed that people make up new definitions as time goes on and then it becomes such a broad term that it could mean multiple things and doesn't make a good description at all.

Not really, I do read some manga but gave up on anime a long time ago, mainly because I'm annoyed by character voices (original not dubbed). Too much kiddy sound, voices etc idk it annoyed me, I prefer manga anyhow.

Never been up so long I thought the walls were bleeding, but I have been up long enough to start seeing shit. Nothing big, just thinking Id see something move out of the corner of my eye

The most I've stayed up is two days. I didn't see anything though.

Also I don't think I know what an Otaku is.... so I guess I'm not one :P

Yes, but i rarely watch anime nowadays, i mostly read manga and novel, mainly because i can still play games while reading

I'm not even sure I've understood the term correctly. Is Otaku a crazed anime fan who watches his cartoons for days forgetting about sleep, food and possibly toilet? Or are these two questions not connected?

At mid-week days I usually go to bed at 3:00 and at 7 I wake up to start working. And at the weekend I 'recover' some sleeping time (usually go to bed at 5:00/6:00, and get up to make the breakfast-lunch at 3:00:
Sometimes I stay up for 60H (a day with its night, another day with its night and one last day) or something like that. I am not a fan of sleeping, u know xd

Otaku- "(in Japan) a young person who is obsessed with computers or particular aspects of popular culture to the detriment of their social skills."

Well, I'm obsessed with video games (and computers) and have no social skills so... I guess? That word seems to get used more often for people obsessed with anime in particular though, so I wouldn't exactly say I "identify" as that (the times I watch anime are too sparse and far apart to even remotely compare to most anime fans XD ).

(I think I've had several times when I stayed awake for so long I started to black out from exhaustion. No wall bleeding though... sadly because that sounds pretty cool.)

It's 3:47 am here while I'm writing this. That should explain how long I stay up :D
