HB gift links are traceable form HB and can get your HB account locked (no future purchases are able then) if it trigger their detection.
It is assumed this happened when too much of the gift links are sended to people outside of your country/region or if it gets sended to a known trader/reseller that are, maybe, marked/flagged from HB.
I would recommend that you reveal the gift link by yourself and send the winner the key.
It's easy changeable after the winner is picked.
