the only reason you'd actually buy these through Valve is to launder money, what actually gets bought up are the keys in bulk to sell on external vendors for pennies - the high price on steam makes it seem like an amazing deal, and people who won't play the game might buy it either to inflate the value of a steam account they want to flip (or use to participate here) or to donate the keys in giveaways to earn points

I guess it's not entirely crazy since you do get the XP for it and can make it clear to humans in your group that it's a shit shovelware game that they spend their points on at their own risk.

I suppose considering the low odds of winning games on here (so many bots the mods won't deal with, try reporting and see how long it goes unprocessed) it might be a better investment of points to spend them on horrible shovelware you have at least some odds of winning.

There are legit some generous people giving away good games on here for years, it seems, and I'm wanting to friend and contact them personally saying they ought to put them into private groups to guarantee humans get them instead of bot operators.

Or if there really is zero consequence to doing it then it's tempting to do it as well to save time. But it seems like the personal touch is needed to hide games like these from sapping the points. Meh.
