At the moment, it looks like a number of triple A companies are struggling to hit sales projections. People seem to want cheap indie game bundles, but that is starting to reach a saturation point as well with people beginning to wonder why they are buying more games when they already have a bunch in their backlog that they haven't even played yet. Some companies will fail, others will adapt and survive, it boils down to who can offer the most value for the money and who can do the best job at marketing.

Thanks! I would assume AAA games will still make up the bulk of the market, but simply billing them as triple-A won't be enough. Developers and publishers need to allow projects ample time to be fully realized, and rushing something out for the holidays will almost always end up as a failure. If you're going to mark a game as triple-A, then you'd better be damn sure it plays like one, not just because it's a familiar brand that everyone knows.

Yes it has, but I think the publishers have to drop the DLC model in the future and make quality games, not just yearly editions of franchises.
