Haven't read any reports about it being not redeemable. Also keys usually only get invalidated, if the reason for the removal is a DMCA claim. But this game was supposedly removed due to expiring licence.

The game has been removed from steam. Assume there will be no problem with activating the key. I have the game and it plays nicely
