Well, it's been a while since I last did a giveaway, and since I haven't found much to spend my funds on in the Summer Sale, I might as well get to it.

In these troubled times of overhype and disappointing launches, it's very uncommon for a game to not just exceed your expectations, but floor you and leave you wondering why you didn't get into it earlier, wouldn't you agree? Did you experiencd such a thing?

It happened to me with the likes of Kid Icarus: Uprising, Xenoblade Chronicles, Medieval II: Total War, ... and Mount & Blade: Warband.

An unassuming Medieval sandbox with very modest graphics (even at the time of its release) that turned out be a very unique experience, with a surprisingly intuitive yet deep combat system (how many games base damage on the velocity of your strikes?), and a good if rather shallow RPG experience enhanced by a plethora of mods, from vanilla expansions to complete conversions.
