Adventure Synopsis

A long time ago, a mage called Gealen Padelor became smitten with a girl called Eloren. Unfortunately she didn’t feel the same way about him. This led the mage to find ways to make her fall in love with him. His research on the city of Hesenamuntal fell to the wayside as he learned of the Far Realms and the power it could bring him.

Eventually he gave up on that as well and looked for Demonic aid (looking into the Far Realms did his faculties no good). The demon lord Pazuzu took an interest and eventually kidnapped Eloren and brought her to his layer of the Abyss.

This then prompted Gealen to research how to bring his mansion to the Abyss and rescue Eloren. The demons caught wind of his plans and invaded the mansion before he could mount his rescue. A battle took place and the magic of the mansion went haywire, trapping many inside. Ever since, the mansion has been teleporting around the world, only to be found by unlucky adventurers.

Most of the inhabitants of the house know little about the other rooms or the history of the house. In most cases they found the room they currently inhabit a long time ago, some by travelling through other rooms but this was done in a hurry and often involved combat. Summoning magic doesn’t work inside the house; the demons can’t summon others of their kind. Magic to contact, or travel to, other planes does not work either.

Escaping the mansion is not going to be easy but there are a few ways; it is up to the DM which one(s) they want to use (see the Escaping the Mansion page for details). There are quite a few valuable items around the house but way too many to stuff in just a few backpacks; characters will have to make choices on what to take and likely do some appraising. Also up to the DM is if the mansion is still in the same place when the party escapes.

Oh.. so here was the Pazuzu i was missing :)
