I was 35 seconds too late and I would have rerolled the giveaway on you.

A couple things:

First, when a giveaway creator is requesting you to add them, it's most likely because they are trying to send you the game through Steam.. They cannot do that if you refuse their friend request.

Second: It's a good idea to thank the giveaway creator you just won a game from. The kind of attitude you displayed in your first comment is the type that will get you blacklisted from winning giveaways further down the line.
