All from two companies yup. I couldn't resist. :P It can't get more retro than this. ^^

Monkey Island is love. Monkey Island is life.
I want play Gemini Rue! Should buy it next time I can. Though my backlog is ridiculous.

Gemini Rue will surprise you in a very good way. For what it's worth I found it to be a game reminiscent of lucasarts quality in many ways. A bit more on the serious/dark side perhaps and with a great atmosphere, since more of a mystery/detective game but it does have some story twists to make it very very memorable. Totally worth it for retro adventure fans.
I also have similar backlog issues, but adventures do not really want countless hours to play, so they can easily get priority right? :)

As soon as I get a new computer, because my PC just died. :( Kind of scared to game on the poor laptop, even if it can handle a lot of games. Need it for work. Though I imagine I will grow old playing Fallout 4 when I get the new one. Still, I will make time for such a highly recommended title. ;)

Also, keep in mind that primordia and resonance from the same company (wadjet eye) are also highly recommended adventure games with great stories. Primordia is taking place in a gloomy post apocalyptic future where everything is mechanical/robotic (and it boasts an amazing soundtrack too), while resonance is simply a great story in today's era where you even get to play 4 characters/friends together interchangeably and solve puzzles with the help from all of them, depending on chapter and plot. Very original and completely plot-dependent.
PS: And speaking of adventures, I must buy a new computer to finally play life is strange and dreamfall chapters... My pc now has terrible temperature issues...

You just mentioned Life is Strange and a big rush of "Oh no" came over me. Thank goodness for cloud saving.
My hard drive is fine though, so I could still extract the files somehow, if need be. At episode 2 myself. Life happened. XD And Dreamfall Chapters is high on my wishlist too.
Funny you mention temperature, because my motherboard basically went POOF. It's not too pricey to fix, but the machine is old and putting money into it is not worth the trouble now. Probably need a new PSU too anyway. Fixing this is like half the money of a new one. May our future deliver good machines and fun gaming!

One that I remember playing but can't remember if I ever beat was the Deja Vu game on NES....

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was one of my first adventure games;
it still holds a place in my heart :) It's a real good game too!

Never played Indy games, which is odd given my love for the movies.

If we're talking Point and Click adventure games, The Neverhood is my favourite.
Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure is also pretty interesting if you're into the puzzle aspect of these types of games.

Oh, I never heard about it. Will take note of it when I do a comments re-check after the giveaways are done. Thanks!

I'm not sure if they would qualify, but I have fond memories of the Gobliiins games, back then on my good old Amiga. :)
That's in addition to all the other great games already mentioned before me. :)
